The “Be More Tank” campaign for GWM was designed to showcase strength, capability, and presence. The visuals were bold. The narrative carried weight. And the sound needed to match the vehicle’s personality: steady, confident, and unmistakably grounded.
Through MOK Music, in collaboration with Electric Sheep Music, we crafted an original composition that underscored the campaign’s sense of power without overwhelming the storytelling. The goal was simple. Support the visual identity. Enhance the emotional impact. Bring the Tank’s world to life.
The sound direction focused on building tension and release through rhythm and texture rather than sheer volume. We used deep, resonant tones that feel anchored and stable, paired with subtle movement that mirrors the grit and capability of the vehicle itself.
Rather than relying on clichés of “automotive power,” the composition stands on restraint and structure. Every layer has a purpose. Every sound feels connected to the brand’s identity.
We wanted the music to feel like the internal voice of the Tank — steady, grounded, self-assured. Nothing excessive. Nothing showy. Just presence.
This project came to life through a close partnership with ESM. Each team brought their strength — creative direction, composition, production, and sound polish. Together, we shaped a sonic world that sits naturally inside the campaign without distracting from the visual story.
