Social-First Content for Fabletics on Hamilton Island
How MOK’Studio captured three days of behind-the-scenes footage and turned one brand shoot into an ongoing bank of social content.
A major brand shoot creates far more content than the finished campaign can ever show.
There are the arrivals, fittings, conversations, location changes, quiet moments between takes and the energy that surrounds the production itself. These moments may never appear in the final campaign, but they are often the moments audiences want to see most.
For a recent Fabletics production, MOK Studio travelled to Hamilton Island for three days to capture the shoot from a different perspective.
While the primary production team focused on creating the polished campaign assets, our role was to document everything happening around them through social-first content.
Using an iPhone, we captured the process continuously. The behind-the-scenes movement. The talent. The environment. The details that gave the production its personality.
The result was not simply a recap of the trip.
It was an extensive bank of raw, flexible content that could continue supporting the brand long after the shoot had finished.
How the Collaboration Came Together
The Hamilton Island project began through an existing creative relationship between Kelly Mendoza and Hayley O’Neill, founder and director of Socialé, a boutique talent agency working across influencer marketing, talent management and content creation.
As friends and creative collaborators, Hayley and Kelly share a similar instinct for social content. They understand that the strongest footage often comes from staying present, noticing the moments around the production and capturing more than a predetermined list of deliverables.
With three full days of activity to document, Hayley brought Kell into the project through MOK’Studio so the content capture could remain consistent across the entire experience. Working together meant the team could follow more of the movement, talent, locations and behind-the-scenes moments without losing the natural energy of the shoot.
This is also how MOK’HOUSE was designed to work.
We are not a closed agency attempting to keep every part of a project within the same fixed team. We are a connected network of trusted creatives who bring one another into the room when a project needs greater capacity, a different perspective or a specific capability.
For the Fabletics shoot, MOK’Studio became an extension of the Socialé team, working within the existing creative direction while helping capture the volume of footage a three-day destination production could offer.
The right collaboration does not complicate the creative process.
It gives good ideas more room to become everything they could be.
What Social-First Content Actually Means
Social-first content is created specifically for the way people experience brands online.
It is vertical, immediate and designed to feel natural within platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Stories. It does not try to imitate a polished campaign film on a smaller screen.
It gives people access to the world around the campaign.
For Fabletics, that meant capturing what was happening before, during and between the formal shots. Instead of arriving with a fixed list of five videos to produce, we remained present throughout the full experience and documented moments as they unfolded.
The approach is intentionally agile.
An iPhone allows us to move with the production without interrupting it. We can change locations quickly, stay close to the action and capture moments that may disappear by the time a larger setup is ready.
This does not make the content less considered.
It makes the process more responsive.
The framing, pacing and storytelling are still guided by a clear understanding of what performs socially. The difference is that the content retains the immediacy and intimacy audiences expect from the platform.
Capturing the Full Three-Day Process
Hamilton Island created a strong visual world for the production, but the value of the content came from documenting more than the destination.
Across the three days, MOK’Studio captured the broader story of the shoot. The preparation behind the final images, the transitions between locations, the environment surrounding the team and the smaller moments that made the experience feel real.
By shooting consistently, rather than only appearing for selected scenes, we were able to build a far deeper library of footage.
One clip might become part of a behind-the-scenes Reel. Another could be used in a launch edit, a founder update or a day-in-the-life video. A short location shot could become a Story background, while a sequence of production moments could be repurposed months later to revisit the campaign.
The value is not only in the individual clips.
It is in the volume and variety of material available once the brand returns home.
Working Alongside the Main Production
Social-first capture is not intended to replace campaign photography or film production. It works alongside it.
The primary production team remains focused on creating the hero assets. Our role is to capture the world surrounding those assets and translate it into content suited to everyday communication.
This means the brand does not have to choose between polished campaign work and consistent social content.
It can have both.
The campaign creates the defining visual moment. Social-first content extends that moment, showing the process behind it and giving audiences more ways to enter the story.
For brands investing heavily in locations, talent, styling and production, this additional layer makes the shoot work significantly harder.
Instead of leaving with a small selection of final assets, the brand leaves with enough material to continue the conversation across multiple platforms and stages of the campaign.
From One Hour to a Full Production
The Fabletics shoot took place across three days, but the service is designed to adapt to the scale of each project.
MOK Studio can join a brand for one hour of concentrated capture, four hours at an event, a complete production day or a multi-day destination shoot.
The format depends on what the brand needs to communicate and how much content it wants to create.
A short session may focus on capturing enough footage for several Reels and Stories. A half-day event may document arrivals, atmosphere, speakers, guests and the moments surrounding the main program.
A longer production allows us to build a comprehensive content bank covering multiple locations, outfits, people, products and stages of the process.
The objective remains the same at every scale: to leave the brand with more usable content than it could realistically gather while also managing the event or production itself.
A Content Bank That Lasts Beyond the Shoot
One of the biggest challenges brands face is not knowing what to post once a campaign has launched.
The polished assets may support the initial announcement, but social platforms require a longer and more varied rhythm.
This is where a content bank becomes valuable.
Rather than delivering only a handful of completed videos, MOK’Studio provides the raw footage captured throughout the experience. The brand can then use those clips to create different edits, test new hooks and revisit the campaign from multiple angles.
The same footage can support behind-the-scenes content, educational posts, campaign teasers, team stories, product features, location edits and brand reflections.
It can be edited immediately or held for later.
It can be combined with voiceovers, trending audio, text overlays or new campaign messaging as the brand’s needs evolve.
Giving clients access to the raw footage ensures the content remains flexible. It does not become locked inside one finished edit or one moment in the campaign calendar.
It becomes part of the brand’s wider content archive.
Built for Brands That Do Not Know What to Post
Many brands have strong products, beautiful events and significant activity happening behind the scenes.
What they often lack is someone whose only role is to notice and capture it.
During a shoot, the internal team is usually managing schedules, talent, logistics, approvals and the wider production. Social content becomes an afterthought, or someone is asked to quickly record a few clips when they remember.
By embedding a social-first content creator within the experience, the brand no longer has to divide its attention.
We arrive already thinking about the final platform.
We look for openings, transitions, details and human moments that can become content. We capture enough variation to give the brand choices rather than forcing every post to rely on the same footage.
The process removes the pressure of constantly asking, “What should we post?”
The material is already there.
Social-First Content, Wherever the Brand Is
Through MOK’Studio and our broader network of trusted creators, this service can be delivered across Australia and internationally.
A brand may need coverage at a destination shoot, product launch, retail opening, industry event or multi-city activation. The location may change, but the approach remains consistent.
We place the right creator inside the experience, brief them around the brand and ensure the footage is captured with both immediate and long-term use in mind.
This makes social-first content available without requiring the brand to fly its internal team to every location or rely on inconsistent footage from event attendees.
The result is a more connected visual record, even when campaigns and events are taking place around the world.
Turning the Process Into Part of the Campaign
The finished campaign shows what a brand created. Social-first content shows how it came to life.
For Fabletics on Hamilton Island, our role was to preserve the energy, movement and atmosphere surrounding the production so those moments could continue working beyond the three days we spent there.
This approach reflects how the wider MOK’HOUSE capabilities work together.
Strategy identifies what the audience needs to see. Production creates the central brand moment. MOK’Studio captures the surrounding story and translates it for the platforms where people experience the brand every day.
Because a shoot should not create content for one launch date. It should create a world the brand can keep returning to.
