Working on a campaign for WA Police is not like working on a typical commercial. The subject matter carries real weight. The tone matters. The sound has to do more than entertain. It has to support a message built on safety, responsibility, and community.
Through MOK Music, in collaboration with Electric Sheep Music and Panda Candy, we contributed original music for WA Police campaign work that needed to feel human, grounded, and considered.
The challenge was to create music that held authority without feeling harsh, and warmth without losing clarity. The sound needed to support the visuals, not distract from them. It had to move people, not manipulate them.
We leaned into subtle builds rather than big, obvious moments. Steady rhythm. Hints of tension that resolve into calm. Melodic phrases that feel reassuring and hopeful, while still carrying the seriousness of the subject matter.
The result is a score that sits close to the story. It gives space for the message to land, while still guiding the emotional arc.
This project came to life through close collaboration with Electric Sheep Music and Panda Candy, led by Glenn Sarangapany. The team’s combined experience across composition, production, and commercial work meant every decision was deliberate.
We worked together to refine tempo, instrumentation, and transitions. Small changes in harmony or pace made a big difference to how the message felt. The process was detailed and iterative, with everyone aligned on the same goal. Respect the subject. Support the story. Let the sound do its job quietly and powerfully.
In work like this, music cannot sit in the spotlight. It must sit in service. The score for WA Police was treated as a structural element rather than a feature. It holds the piece together, guides the viewer through, and leaves the focus on the people, the message, and the organisation behind it.
This aligns closely with our philosophy at MOK HOUSE and MOK Music. Not every project needs loudness. Many need restraint.

For us, this partnership is a reminder that creativity is not only for lifestyle and luxury. It also has a role in public messaging, safety, and community impact. And when sound is crafted with intention, it helps important messages land the way they should.
